This Is the Easiest Way I’ve Made Instant Coffee Actually Taste Good

If you've ever searched for how to make instant coffee taste better, you're definitely not alone. Instant coffee is convenient, but it doesn't always feel like a great coffee experience. The good news is you don't need fancy equipment or complicated recipes to fix that — this is one of the easiest ways to upgrade instant coffee at home, turning something basic into something that actually feels fun to drink.

Instant Coffee Foam

A light whipped coffee foam that sits on top of milk — café-style texture with almost no effort, no fancy equipment required.

What You Need

  • Instant coffee
  • Hot water
  • Milk of your choice (oat, dairy, or almond)
  • Ice
  • 1Flavored coffee syrup packet
  • EquipmentHandheld whisk or similar tool

Instructions

  1. Add coffee and flavor: Start with a glass and add your instant coffee and one flavored coffee syrup packet. Vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut all work really well.
  2. Add hot water: Pour in a small amount of hot water, just enough to dissolve everything and allow it to whip properly.
  3. Whip into foam: Use a handheld whisk and whip the mixture directly in the glass until it turns into a light, airy foam.
  4. Prepare your milk: In a separate glass, add ice and pour in your milk until the glass is about halfway full.
  5. Pour the foam on top: Pour the whipped coffee over the milk like a topping so it sits on top before mixing.
  6. Stir and drink: Give it a quick stir, take a sip, and you're done.
